Hello 4th Hour and welcome to your class Blog!
We will be using our blog for teacher-to-student communication as well as student-to-student communication. Our main purpose will be for you to learn about blogs and what they are used for. We will also use them to post assignments, do journal entries or simply have class discussions.
My goal will be to post an assignment each Monday and you will have until the Friday of that same week to respond. You may respond to the blog from class, home, the library or any other place that you might have access to the Internet.
Before we begin, there are ground rules that must be set and followed. Note that if these ground rules are not followed you may receive a zero on the assignment(s). Please follow the rules!
All posts must use school appropriate language. When you post, you must write in complete sentences using proper grammar and spelling. Do not use: u, r, ur, b4, cuz, etc.
When commenting on another student’s post, keep your comments non-personal. You can agree or disagree with a comment but refrain from sarcasm, judgment, and/or put-downs. You must state how you feel and why. You must comment on every article, topic, or question from me - it is an assignment - and your response should thoughtfully address each topic and question posted on the blog. You cannot simply write “I agree.”
Your first assignment will be to introduce yourself. Please provide some background information, discuss things you enjoy doing, your family, and your future plans. Then answer the following questions:
1. How much do you know about blogging?
2. Have you ever used or hosted a blog?
3. What might you use a blog for personally?

ReplyDeleteI'm Zane Brandon, i'm a sophmore at BHS. Sadly i'm in the same class again. I enjoy skating after school, I also like to bike sometimes. I have a step-mom, a father, and three sisters. I also plan on graduating from high school, then going to college.

ReplyDeleteI'm AJ Fortinberry, a 9th grader at Bedofrd High school, I spend my free time either sleeping or working and have 2 brothers, a Mom, and a Dad. I excel in Language and Communication classes such as English, German, and French, then I tend to appear on The Radio show with my friends from Z108 at times. That's pretty much what you need to know about me, later.

My parents a divorced and I have a step dad and he has two daughters, 14 and 17. my dad has a girlfriend, and she has 3 older boys and they are past their 20s. I have 3 dogs, a bird, and i also have a horse.

Hey, I'm Sam Przybylski. I am a freshman. I have been going to Bedford since last year, I went to St.John the Baptist before I came here. I ride horses and I compete in the summer. I have a 22 year old brother and his girlfriend is pregnant, so I will be an aunt soon. My parents are divorced and I have a stepdad.

I'm Chase DuVall, I am a freshman, WOO! I made it! I’m a cross country runner of three years (yes a sport who ever said it wasn’t!). I also run track. I enjoy to just relax and text my friends after school, because my mom doesn’t ever let me out of the house. I also enjoy reading, depending on the book. I have an annoying mom, a drill sergeant dad, steroid induced brother, and a messed up sister. Oh I also have a curly 75%poodle and 25% lab, also known as the cute, cool and smart, labradoodle! There really isn’t anything to know about blogging I don’t think, unless you’re technology challenge. I have never hosted a blog but have used the Honors English blog during summer. Someone might use a personal blog to tell about their life, in case there might actually be people who care.

I have one dog named Bailey. My favorite subjects are choir and german. I used to ride horses when I was younger but I had to quit. My favorite color is blue. That's about it.

I am a friendly girl, and I love the colors pink & green. I love to draw, dance, sing, paint, and hang out with my family & friends. I am very devoted to school, and I want to help people/animals later in life. I want to go to college to be a marine biologist. I know much about blogging, but I really don't blog all that much.
